• Q

What kind of after-sales support do you provide?

    A

We believe that handing over your new home is just the beginning of our relationship with you.

If you have any questions or concerns after moving in, please feel free to contact us at any time. We are committed to providing reliable after-sales support and helping you enjoy your home with peace of mind for years to come.

  • Q

    Who actually builds my house?

    A

At Tsuchiya Construction, we take pride in the craftsmanship of our in-house carpenters and the care they bring to every stage of construction.

Rather than simply building according to the plans, we pay close attention to details such as how materials come together and how they look in the finished space, with the goal of creating a home of lasting quality.

  • Q

    What materials do you use?

    A

We make use of natural wood and other natural materials to create homes that are not only visually appealing, but also comfortable and considerate of healthy living.

The materials we recommend are selected based on your preferred design, performance requirements, and ease of maintenance.

  • Q

Will the house be warm enough for Hokkaido and Niseko winters?

    A

To stay comfortable through Hokkaido’s harsh winters, factors such as insulation, airtightness, heating design, window performance, and snow protection are all important.

At Tsuchiya Construction, we design homes specifically for cold-climate living, with careful attention to warmth, energy efficiency, and year-round comfort.

  • Q

How long does the entire home-building process take?

    A

The time it takes to complete a home varies depending on factors such as whether you already own land, the design of the house, the approval process, the construction schedule, and weather conditions.

On average, it takes about six months for consultations, planning, and design, followed by another six months from the start of construction to handover. In total, the entire process typically takes around one year.

If you need to find land, the land search alone can sometimes take two to three years. For this reason, we recommend contacting us as early as possible, even if you are still in the early stages of planning your home.

  • Q

I live overseas. How does the process work remotely?

    A

We provide comprehensive support to ensure that clients living overseas can build their homes, utilizing online meetings and sharing progress updates via photos and videos.

  • Q

Can you help me find land?

    A

We welcome consultations starting from the land-search stage.

When building a home in Hokkaido, it is important to consider not only the price of the land but also factors such as snow, wind, sunlight exposure, road access, water and sewage infrastructure, property boundaries, and the surrounding environment; please feel free to consult us.

  • Q

Do you have experience building vacation homes or second houses?

    A

    Yes, we do.
We have completed several vacation homes and second residences, including projects in and around the Niseko area.
We understand the specific needs of second-home owners and long-distance clients.

  • Q

I only speak English. Is that okay?

    A

    Yes, absolutely.
We regularly work with international clients and can communicate in English throughout the process, from initial consultation to completion and aftercare.
